I cannot tell you how proud I am to be the principal of such a vibrant, ambitious and happy school. Visitors to our school consistently comment on the calm, purposeful and friendly atmosphere that exists here. We have an excellent team of staff, parents and governors who are 100% committed to providing a creative environment and a wide range of educational opportunities for the children in our charge. The words below sum up what we are about:
We are very proud of St Mary’s heritage; it is a Grade 2 listed building situated in the heart of the black and white village of Dilwyn, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills of the Herefordshire countryside. Visitors, without exception, are amazed at our tranquil, wonderful facilities within an idyllic rural setting. We are extremely fortunate to have a two-acre field adjoining the school where our children enjoy playing together, investigating the environment and doing physical education. Our wildlife area includes a willow arbour, raised beds and chicken coops. It is absolutely wonderful, and the children love the freedom and space it delivers.
I hope you enjoy looking at our website and that it conveys the vibrancy of our school and our commitment to providing children with the very best outcomes. If you feel St Mary’s CE Primary School could be right for your child, please ring the office to arrange a visit to talk to our staff and myself about our academic excellence, creative curriculum and wide variety of opportunities we can offer.
